Scenalyzer is by far the best that I’ve found. Unfortunately, you have to pay for it. It is very easy to use, automatically captures clips using timecode so you don’t have to manually set in and out points, has plenty of format options, and even gives you the ability to capture time-elapsed.

I’m a media professional and use Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Sony Vegas mostly. Scenalyzer is my favorite over all of these.
