    Case fits well, with precise openings for vents on the computer. There is no protection at all when the computer is opened, except for the edges of the case. The material seems sturdy, but I haven’t dropped the unit, so I can’t comment on the effectiveness of the case to present breakage. But the material is reasonably thick and the case is well made.
