Asus eeePC 900?
Hi I just ordered the Asus eeePC 900 and was wondering if Photoshop CS2 or Illustrator CS2 would run ok on it? Also does anyone know the release date for the Asus eeePC 901 and the MSI Wind? thx

With 1GB of RAM and a 1024×768 display, Photoshop would run, but it wouldn’t be speedy or have a comfortable amount of screen space.

Below is the minimum system requirement to run Adobe CS3, which include photoshop:
# Intel® Pentium® 4, Intel Centrino®, Intel Xeon®, or Intel Core™ Duo (or compatible) processor
# Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista™ Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions)
# 512MB of RAM
# 64MB of video RAM
# 1GB of available hard-disk space (additional free space required during installation)
# 1,024×768 monitor resolution with 16-bit video card
# DVD-ROM drive
And below is the eeepc900’s spec:
# Processor Name: Intel Celeron M 373
# Processor Speed: 900 MHz
# RAM: 1 GB
# Weight: 2.2 lb
# Screen Size: 8.9 inches
# Screen Size Type: widescreen

The only possible problem I can see is that the processor may not be fast enough to run photoshop. Even if it can, picture rendering would just be really slow because of the slow processor and lack of a dedicated graphics card.
Keep in mind that programs like photoshop are one of the most performance demanding programs out there. Adobe CS3 doesn’t run very fast even on 13.3 in. or 15.4 in. laptops.
